Case Western Reserve University students are invited to information sessions about the Hertz Fellowship, a program designed to recognize visionary leaders who want to apply their research in the physical and biological sciences, mathematics, and engineering to solve the world’s toughest challenges. Recipients receive full tuition funding equivalent for five years.
CWRU alumni and former Hertz Fellows Lee Swanger and Ken Franko will lead two information sessions on the program Wednesday, Sept. 11: at 12:30 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 356, and 3:30 p.m. on the first floor of Sears think[box]. Lunch will be provided at the 12:30 p.m. session, and there will be an ice cream social at the 3:30 p.m. session.
During this session, students will learn about the application process. Swanger is a member of the Hertz Foundation Board of Directors and will share his experience in this role.
Fellowship recipients receive:
- $38,000 per year stipend;
- Freedom to innovate and pursue their boldest ideas;
- Access to a powerful community of 1,200+ peers;
- Invitations to special events, workshops and networking opportunities; and
- Access to exclusive internships
More details are available on the Hertz Foundation website.
Sophomores, juniors, seniors and first-year graduate students at CWRU are encouraged to attend an information session to get tips on preparing a successful application.
Case Western Reserve University’s Case School of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences is proud to provide the full financial benefits of the Hertz Fellowship to individuals who are named as Hertz finalists, but are not selected as fellows, and who matriculate to CWRU for a PhD in engineering, math or applied physical and biological sciences.
