Help raise money for Relay For Life with Power of Purple events Feb. 28

To meet their fundraising goals, Colleges Against Cancer and Relay For Life are coordinating a series of events starting with Power of Purple on Friday, Feb. 28.

The day will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Thwing Center atrium with the Power of Purple mini-relay with luminaria, entertainment and free food from Jimmy John’s, Chutney Rolls, Panini’s and more.

Next, the faculty/staff versus student basketball game will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Adelbert Gym. The faculty and staff team, coached by Officer Mark Chavis, will play against a team of students coached by Vice President of Student Affairs Lou Stark. There will be free food at the game and a Relay For Life raffle featuring Case Western Reserve University apparel and an iPad Mini, donated by Information Technology Services.

Finally, following the basketball game, the Jolly Scholar will sponsor drink and food specials with proceeds going to Relay For Life at CWRU.

The CWRU Relay For Life will take place Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13. For more information, contact relay2014@case.edu.
