UPDATE: As of March 2, this event has been cancelled.

The School of Law will host a public lecture with Lawrence Douglas, author of The Right Wrong Man, Wednesday, March 2, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the School of Law, Room A59.

His book, recently published by the Princeton University Press, chronicles the lengthy case of Cleveland-area resident John Demjanjuk, who was sentenced to death in Israel as a notorious Treblinka death camp guard, cleared of that charge, and convicted in 2011 in Germany for a role as a guard at a different death camp. Douglas, also the James J. Grosfeld Professor of Law at Amherst College, went to the Demjanjuk trial in Germany.

He will review the case in his lecture, which will be followed by a reception and book signing will follow the lecture.
