What becomes of humanities majors after they finish the degree? How might colleges and universities assist them in the transition? Join the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Humanities Center for a conversation about these issues that will feature the perspectives of both academia and industry. Case Western Reserve University Provost and Executive Vice President Ben Vinson III will provide his own unique take on how the humanities have shaped him and how to overcome negative perceptions of post-grad life for humanities majors.
The discussion will draw on an upcoming report from the Humanities Indicators, The State of the Humanities 2021: Workforce & Beyond (to be released on November 8).
