2020 brought about unprecedented change in the healthcare industry. Where will the technology go from here?
Join the Weatherhead School of Management to hear from a prestigious panel of healthcare technology experts for a virtual discussion on the future of digital health: AI and design. This Healthcare Management Speaker Series event, titled “The Future of Digital Health: AI & Design,” will be held Thursday, April 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
As we have seen the development of COVID-19 in record time, digital technology has a potential to radically transform healthcare. The use of artificial intelligence, smartphones, wearable devices, 3D printing, blockchain, and robots—the range of digital technologies that can be used to transform the way we diagnose, treat and prevent diseases continues to grow. Yet, except a few bright spots, the evidence of transformative digital innovations in healthcare is still rare and sparse.
Three experts who work in the intersection of technology and design in digital health will talk about what is happening, what major success stories have been so far, what can be done to accelerate the digital innovations in healthcare, and what the most exciting opportunities that they see in the market now are.
Youngjin Yoo, the Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professorship in Entrepreneurship, will moderate a discussion with the following panelists:
- Alex (Jun) Gao, head of Digital Health Lab at Samsung Research America;
- Jeremy Beaudry, lead healthcare experience designer, researcher and strategist at The University of Vermont Medical Center; and
- Tae Hyun Hwang, founding member and steering committee of the Cardiovascular Radiobiomics Artificial Intelligence Center at Cleveland Clinic Heart Center.
