The Center for Civic Engagement and Learning invites students to learn about an opportunity to volunteer with Health Leads, a national nonprofit that partners with hospitals and universities to address basic needs to improve patient wellness.
Health Leads is recruiting student advocates to volunteer side by side with patients and clinicians to promote access to community resources and public benefits.
Student advocates staff a special desk at University Hospitals, receive training and participate in ongoing group development sessions.
Students can learn about the program and application process at an information session Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 410.
