Health Equity Challenge Series: Aftershock screening and discussion

Members of the Case Western Reserve University and local communities are invited to participate in a screening of and discussion about Aftershock, a documentary on the disparities in women’s maternal health.

The screening will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the new University Hospitals Cutler Center for Men in the University Hospitals Ahuja Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute (3999 Richmond Rd., Beachwood).

This event will kick off the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative’s (CTSC) second annual Health Equity Challenge Series, which will be centered on the theme of women’s health equity. Events in the challenge aim to provide our community with context and raise awareness about what everyone can do to eliminate health disparities in maternal mortality and morbidity.

This event also serves as one collective learning experience during the CTSC’s inaugural Translational Science Week celebration.

Refreshments will be provided and there is no fee to attend.

Registration is required before Sept. 13. Sign up to attend.

Those with questions can contact Gelise Thomas at gelise@case.edu.

CTSC will host this event in collaboration with UH Cutler Center for Men, UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital and the UH Office of Community Impact, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
