HCM changes to accommodate federal income tax withholding

In response to the Federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act enacted on Dec. 22, 2017, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has issued new federal income tax withholding tables.

The new tables have been incorporated into Human Capital Management, so employees may notice a change in the federal income tax withholding on their Jan. 31 paycheck. The IRS has structured the tables in such a way that a new W-4 is not necessary at this time. Please note that the new federal tax withholding tables were not yet available for the processing of the Jan. 15 paychecks.
