Hatha yoga classes to be offered at University Hospitals in August

Hatha yoga classes will be taught at University Hospitals Case Medical Center weekly in August as part of the Connor Integrative Medicine Network at University Hospitals.

The classes are Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. in the following locations:

  • Aug. 12: Lerner Tower room 2060
  • Aug. 19: Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Community Room
  • Aug. 26: Bolwell A Conference Room

The classes are designed to help participants increase their strength, flexibility and balance and manage stress.

The style of yoga taught in the classes focuses on integrating breath with each movement, and the pace is moderate. The class incorporates standing, balancing, kneeling and supine postures. Variations of the postures will be presented for differing levels of strength and flexibility. Each class will allow time for relaxation.

Participants should bring a mat and water to class. Prior yoga experience is helpful but not necessary.
