The answers for this week’s Guess Where question were all over the board. However the most common answer was correct: Bellflower Hall.
Other popular answers were Guilford House, the Frank N. and Jocelyne K. Linsalata Alumni Center, Thwing Center and Wolstein Hall.
Bellflower Hall was originally designed as a residential home in 1902, and housed some of Cleveland’s business owners. After its sale in 1944, the house was used for several different functions, including a nursing home, the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity house and an art gallery space.
In the late 20th century, Case Western Reserve University acquired the building and, in 1999, the Writing Resource Center was moved to the space. Now, 20 years later, it continues to be used by students of all majors as a space for collaborative writing.
