Miller, PhD, and biologist Arnold Caplan, PhD, has discovered that a substance in human mesenchymal stem cells that promotes growth seems to encourage restoration of nerves in biologic models of MS. “The importance of this work is we think we’ve identified the driver of recover,” Miller said.
