The Office for Sustainability will host a panel discussion to provide information on solutions for excess, unused or unwanted office furniture on campus. This Green Bag Lunch event, titled “A Second Life for Your Excess Office Furniture,” will be held Wednesday, July 11, from noon to 1 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom.
The panel will be composed of:
- Rebecca Lowry, Case Western Reserve University interior designer;
- Arlet Wright, director of the Thwing Center and organizer of the Thwing Furniture Sale;
- Ken Hennes, Cleveland ReStore donations manager; and
- Kathleen Rocco, Cuyahoga Solid Waste District education specialist.
The panelists each will give a presentation and then answer questions as a group. Attendees are encouraged to consider questions, challenges and current management tactics for dealing with unneeded office furniture to talk about with panelists and fellow attendees.
The Office for Sustainability will provide desserts and coffee. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch to eat during the presentations.
