This year, instead of buying new presents at a store for your gift giving needs, elevate an existing item into something different for your gift recipients. Join Nicole McGee of the Upcycle Parts Shop, and Case Western Reserve University’s Office for Sustainability to explore green gift giving this holiday season.
This Green Bag Lunch, titled “Greening the Holiday Season with Upcycled Gifts,” will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29, from noon to 2 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Classroom.
Be inspired to create handmade presents and start practicing on the spot with McGee, who will lead participants in a crafting session during this Green Bag Lunch.
A presentation by McGee, as well as a group discussion and crafting session, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the CWRU Tinkham Veale University Center in the Senior Classroom. Additionally, from 1 to 2 p.m., McGee will lead more upcycled crafting at tables outside the food court.
The Office for Sustainability will supply coffee and scones for dessert. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch to eat during the presentation.
