Greek life to host Greek Sing, honor chapter anniversaries

Homecoming is always an exciting time for Greek alumni and students. This year, Greek Life has a lot going on during the weekend.

The main event will be the Order of Omega Greek Alumni Reception Friday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. in the Maltz Performing Arts Center. The reception will be held in conjunction with the Greek Sing competition for the inaugural Spartan Cup competition (formally Greek Week). After Greek Sing, Order of Omega will award the Wes Schaub Outstanding Alumni Award and announce their Honor Initiate for 2017.

Several chapters also will celebrate milestone anniversaries. Delta Tau Delta turns 135 this year and will mark the occasion with a variety of events throughout the weekend.

Theta Chi will celebrate its 75th anniversary this year. During their celebrations, they will honor Aditya Rengaswamy for being named the National Interfraternity Conference’s Man of Distinction.

Kappa Alpha Theta also will mark its 10th anniversary at CWRU with an alumnae brunch.

Many chapters also will participate in the parade and having alumni get-togethers all weekend.
