Greater Cleveland Chorus hosts donation drive

The Greater Cleveland Chorus is currently hosting a donation drive to collect items for Cleveland women’s shelters/crisis centers and homeless shelters.

In response to scary situations, the mother of the famous Fred Rogers once said, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” In these challenging times that continue to impact so many Clevelanders, the members of the Greater Cleveland Chorus wanted to find a way to help those in need. Until October 31, the Greater Cleveland Chorus is collecting new clothing (especially for winter), personal care products, and household items for men, women, and children. All donated items will be distributed to Cleveland women’s shelters, women’s crisis centers, and homeless shelters such as the Edna House for Women, Norma Herr Women’s Center, and Homeless Hookup CLE.

Clothing of all sizes are needed and because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is requested that these items be new. Full-size and travel-size toiletry items are also needed. A full list of requested items can be found on the Greater Cleveland Chorus Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GreaterClevelandChorus).

There are several ways to donate:

  1. Drop off your items at the Independence United Methodist Church (6615 Brecksville Road, Independence) from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 24 or 31.
For the safety of all parties, we are kindly asking that face masks be worn and appropriate social distancing be practiced during donation collection.
  2. Order from the GCC Donation Drive Wish List on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32A0NIMT5Z6XD?ref_=wl_share
