The Great Lakes Health Literacy Conference 2020: “Implications for Health Literacy During Times of Crisis” will be held Friday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. Held virtually, this event will feature presentations by the following individuals:
- Rima Rudd: “Health Literacy in Support of Social Justice—Removing Barriers to Information, Care, and Services”
- Cynthia Baur: “Effective Risk Communication as the Antidote to COVID-19 Misinformation”
- Karen Komondor: “Health Literacy and Emergency Preparedness: Implications for Organizations”
Continuing education credit will be provided for nursing, social work and CHES.
Ohio Health Literacy Partners will offer the conference with technical and continuing education support through Western Michigan University’s College of Health and Human Services.
