Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to a meet and greet with the ACES+ Distinguished Lecturer Tracy L. Johnson on Nov. 9 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in RT100-1 Wood Building. A buffet lunch will be provided.
Johnson is an associate professor in the division of biological sciences at University of California at San Diego. Her laboratory is investigating the synthesis and processing of mRNAs in the yeast Saccharomyces cervisiae, with a particular emphasis on how chromatin structure coordinates splicing with transcription.
She received the National Science Foundation’s Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers in 2006, among other awards.
