Starting Oct. 13, Google will change the retention policy for items in the Trash in Google Drive. Previously, trashed items would be retained indefinitely. With this new policy, any file in Google Drive Trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Files already in a user’s trash on Oct. 13 will remain there for 30 days and then will be automatically deleted.
