Students are invited to an information session on the Global Health Design in Uganda spring break travel course Friday, Sept. 21, at 12:30 p.m. in Wickenden Building, Room 328.
Attendees will hear from past participants and meet faculty leaders Janet McGrath, professor of anthropology, and Andrew Rollins, professor of biomedical engineering.
Pizza will be provided at the meeting.
Program description
The course, offered through the CWRU Anthropology-Engineering Collaborative, applies social science and engineering skills and expertise to address global health issues in Uganda.
The collaborative is part of a long-standing collaboration between Case Western Reserve University and Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
Through the course, students will collaborate with students at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, and CWRU student group Global Health Design Collaborative, to design and implement solutions to specific health issues in Luwero, Uganda.
