Giving Tree program to donate presents to children in Cleveland

Thwing Center will once again sponsor the annual Giving Tree program to provide gifts to 100 children residing in the neighborhoods surrounding Case Western Reserve University.

To take part, visit Thwing Center Atrium between Nov. 21 and Dec. 12 and look for the Giving Tree display. Gift request tags from children will be hanging on the tree.

Fill out the top part of the tag and leave it in the envelope by the tree with your information; take the second tag with the three desired gifts and use it as a gift tag for your gift. You only need to buy one gift from the three listed, but only take a tag if you are sure you can meet the return date. All gifts (no more than $25) should be wrapped and returned to the Thwing Center Administration Office by Dec. 12 at 5 p.m.

If you are too busy to shop for gifts, you may also send a check so someone in one of the sponsoring departments can shop for you.

For more information, or if you would like to sponsor more than one child from the same family, contact Arlet Wright at 368.2654 or Terri Geiger at 368.2660.

The Giving Tree is sponsored by Thwing Center Administration, Student Activities and Leadership Office, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, Center for Civic Engagement & Learning, and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Center.
