Getting a COVID-19 booster and flu shot before leaving campus for a winter break is a great way to increase protection while traveling and before returning to campus for spring semester in January.
According to recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, everyone ages 18 and older who received Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines is eligible for a booster. So Case Western Reserve University is offering booster doses, as well as initial doses, from all three manufacturers every weekday.
COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as flu shots, are available in the Nursing Research Building Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (with a break from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and Wade and Fribley Commons Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, there will be two vaccination clinics held in the Peter B. Lewis Building: Dec. 7 and 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. Two additional clinics will be held in Wade Commons prior to move-out: Dec. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. See the full schedule online.
Faculty, staff and students can schedule an appointment online at myhealthconnect.case.edu. Individuals who are not affiliated with the university can call 216.368.1964 to schedule an appointment.
