Get training information and resources for using Canvas

The University Technology ([U]Tech) Teaching and Learning Technologies team will offer a number of resources and training opportunities to help the university community prepare to use Canvas.

The team will offer “Getting Started in Canvas” for beginners to learn more about creating a course, copying content from Blackboard, adding their syllabus and materials, assignments, announcements, and other Canvas essentials.

These sessions will be held at varying times. Check out the Canvas training calendar to learn more about these sessions.

Those of all Canvas skill levels can participate in a Canvas Consultation. This training option will be valuable to those who have advanced questions or need specialized advice for using Canvas with their courses this fall. Locations and times vary, but online sign-ups are required.

The last Canvas training opportunity before classes begin will be held Friday, Aug. 25, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium.

The plagiarism-detection software for Canvas will be Turnitin; if you would like help with Turnitin, sign up for a Canvas Consultation.
