Get tips for recognizing phishing attempts

The University Technology ([U]Tech) Information Security Office continues its Security Awareness Video of the Month Series—“Secure in Seconds”—in November for members of the Case Western Reserve University community. November’s topic is “Phishing Baits.”

The November video highlights common tactics used in phishing attacks. These baits involve emails, text messages and calls that aim to deceive individuals into taking actions that benefit cybercriminals.

Members of the community are encouraged to stay vigilant, recognize phishing signs and ignore such messages to stay safe. Viewers of this month’s video will be better prepared to spot and avoid scams.
