Get EndNote X9 from the Software Center

EndNote has been upgraded to EndNote X9 in the University Technology ([U]Tech) Software Center. It is available to all CWRU students, faculty and staff.

EndNote is billed as the most powerful research and reference manager on the market, with all capabilities needed both on the desktop and online. More than just a reference manager, EndNote moves users through the research process as they search, organize, write, publish and share.

The software has a perpetual license, meaning I has no expiration date and is usable even after the connection to the university ends.

It is available to students for $74 each, payable by credit card, and to faculty/staff for $99 each, payable by department speedtype.

To take advantage of EndNote X9 features, users must purchase a new license; free/no-cost upgrades are not available. EndNote X9 licenses can be installed on up to three computers, all running the same operating system (Windows or Mac), for use by the purchaser of the license only.

To download EndNote X9:

  1. Visit case.edu/eula.php and click “I Agree” to accept the end-user license agreement.
  2. Find “EndNote X9 for Students (Perpetual)” or “EndNote X9 for Faculty and Staff (Perpetual)” in the software title list, and click on either the Windows or Mac icon.
