Generative AI and Information Literacy Day

Artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI are increasingly becoming a part of our research, instruction and daily tasks. Kelvin Smith Library will host a Generative AI and Information Literacy Day Thursday, Sept. 12, for educators, researchers and technologists eager to explore the integration of AI in academia. This event will take place both virtually and in person in Kelvin Smith Library.

The morning sessions consist of a welcome breakfast, followed by an opening keynote at 9 a.m. Library-led educational sessions will cover essential topics such as information literacy in the age of AI, empowering student research, navigating AI tools for research, and copyright issues.

At noon, join a collaborative lunch and learn will feature engaging roundtable discussions with presenters and participants.

The afternoon exploration sessions will showcase innovative contributions from various departments across CWRU’s campus, offering diverse insights and practical applications. The day will conclude with a panel discussion featuring representatives invested in the role and impact of generative AI at CWRU from the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education, the Writing Program, Research Computing, and more.
