Greg Lukianoff, president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at noon at the School of Law.
FIRE’s mission is to defend and sustain individual rights at America’s colleges and universities. These rights include freedom of speech, legal equality, due process, religious liberty and sanctity of conscience—the essential qualities of individual liberty and dignity. FIRE’s work in this area includes the Speech Litigation Project, publications like FIRE’s Guides to Student Rights on Campus and organizational efforts such as the Campus Freedom Network. Lukianoff will speak on these issues and efforts.
The lecture is co-sponsored by the Case Western Reserve University chapter of the American Constitution Society and the Case Federalist Society.
This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.
