Funding available for skin disease research pilot projects

The Skin Diseases Research Center (SDRC) plans to support four new Pilot and Feasibility (P&F) projects in cutaneous biology and skin diseases for one or two years with an annual budget of $20,000. The SDRC is funded by a grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, and it aims to foster translational and basic research in cutaneous biology and skin diseases. A variety of collaborative arrangements can enhance the award value, including a $10,000 match from Clinical and Translation Science Collaborative (CTSC) Core Utilization; a $25,000 match from the CTSC Coulter Translational Research Partnership; and a $25,000 match from the SDRC-Ohio State University CTSC Wound Healing grant.

Projects are supported with the understanding that the principal investigator will subsequently apply for National Institutes of Health or equivalent funding using preliminary data acquired during the P&F project period.

The deadline for application submission is April 1. For eligibility rules and application information, visit casemed.case.edu/ctsc/funding/skindiseases.cfm.
