Friday discussion group to focus on U.S., French presidential elections in time of crisis

Join faculty, staff and students from across campus for Friday’s Public Affairs Discussion Group, titled “SARKOBAMA: Two Presidential Elections in a Time of Crisis.”

Joseph White, chair of the Department of Political Science, Luxenberg Family Professor of Public Policy, professor of epidemiology and biostatistics and the director of the Center for Policy Studies, will lead the talk April 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library’s Dampeer Room.

During the discussion group, White will discuss what the upcoming French and U.S. elections have in common and what they might explain about the broader challenges of governing during an economic crisis.
