The William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series brings the literary world’s best writers to Cleveland. The 2019-2020 series continues Thursday, March 19, with an appearance by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Andrew Sean Greer.
Greer is the author of six works of fiction, including the bestsellers The Confessions of Max Tivoli (2004), for which he received the California Book Award; The Story of a Marriage (2008), which was chosen by The Washington Post as a book of the year; and Less (2017), for which he earned the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
The event will take place Thursday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center at The Temple – Tifereth Israel at Case Western Reserve University, 1855 Ansel Road. Free shuttle service from campus is available.
A limited number of free student tickets are available. Students can show their Case Western Reserve ID at the Tinkham Veale University Center’s first floor information desk to obtain a ticket to the event, or they can reserve one online at case.universitytickets.com (Single Sign On required).
In addition, students can participate in an informal conversation with Greer at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the event in the Tinkham Veale University Center’s Gaming Room. To participate in this opportunity, students are asked to RSVP on CampusGroups.
The 2019-2020 William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series is presented by the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation and academic partner Case Western Reserve University. Funds raised by this series help support Cuyahoga County Public Library, the nation’s top-rated library system for nine consecutive years.
