Free film showing: Kung Fu Panda

It’s Kung-Fu weekend with the Case Western Reserve University Film Society, but the striking movie lineup isn’t the only knockout: tickets to all showings this weekend are free.

The CWRU Film Society will host showings of Kung Fu Panda Saturday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium. Free tickets are available to members of the Case Western Reserve University community and the general public. Before the start of the second showing, there will be a get-to-know-you BBQ on the Case Quad.

Film Society members get free admission, free concessions and more perks if they show up early or stay late to help out.

Synopsis

Po is an irreverent slacker panda who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu and unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But the vengeful snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way. Can Po turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality?
