On April 21, the Church of the Covenant will host Roger Saillant, executive director of the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, who will discuss the future of energy in the United States.
His talk, “Flourishing in the Future: Energy, Sustainability and Spirituality: Flourishing Systems Begin with Flourishing Minds,” will examine energy policy with a holistic approach that incorporates a moral and spiritual consideration.
The hour-long event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 11:30 a.m. at Church of the Covenant.
Prior to Saillant’s appointment as the Fowler Center’s executive director, he served in senior executive positions at Ford Motor Co., Visteon Corp. and, most recently, Plug Power, where he was CEO for more than seven years. He serves on the boards of several non-government organizations and of two start-up energy-related companies. He co-authored his first novel, Vapor Trails, in 2009, and is a frequent speaker on environmental issues.
