The Kelvin Smith Library Personal Librarians invite all first-year students to an afternoon of stress relief before their first final exams at Case Western Reserve University. There will be video games, a free yoga class, crafts and food available to the first-year students on Monday, Dec. 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Kelvin Smith Library.
A “Half-Life Death Match Tournament” will take place in the Freedman Center, in which players go head to head in a fast-paced, first-person video game, or students can race friends in Mario Kart or play Wii Sports and Just Dance 4.
From 4 to 5 p.m., a 121 Fitness instructor will lead a yoga class in the Dampeer Room, or students feeling creative can use crafting supplies to make snowflakes.
During all of this, personal librarians and tutors will be available to help with last-minute projects or topics (click here to sign up). Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Not all of the fun is just for first year students: From 5 to 7 p.m., the gaming on the first and second floors will open up to all students.
