“Five Decades of Restoring Upper Extremity Movement with Neuroprostheses”

The FES Center will host a symposium titled “Five Decades of Restoring Upper Extremity Movement with Neuroprostheses” Friday, Jan. 10, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Maltz Performing Arts Center.

This event will feature a dynamic, transdisciplinary panel of more than 20 experts, who will trace key milestones since 1972, celebrate collaborative breakthroughs made possible by researchers and hundreds of spinal cord injury participants, and address unresolved challenges and future approaches.

Highlights will include discussions on how to support long-term neuroprosthesis users and achieving sustainable commercialization for niche interventions.
