First-year student brings home bronze at collegiate figure skating competition

Clarine Long, a first-year premed student and a biochemistry and mathematics double major, won the bronze medal at the 2015 Bulldog Classic Collegiate Figure Skating Competition in Adrian, Mich., earlier this month.

She competed on behalf of the Case Western Reserve University Figure Skating Club, of which she is president.

More than 215 skaters from 15 universities across the Midwest competed. Long placed third out of 17 skaters in the Senior Free Skating event, the highest level at the competition.
