Join First CWRU for the inaugural First-Gen Banquet, an event celebrating the accomplishments of first-generation scholars at Case Western Reserve University. The event will take place Saturday, April 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Hovorka Atrium.
Organizers will be presenting four awards: the Excellence in Mentorship award; Spirit of First Generation award; Extra Mile award; and Friend of First-Gen award. In addition, there will be catering from Cilantro and remarks from student speaker Henry Lliguicota-Lema and faculty speaker Jason Buitrago.
Anyone is able to attend, including students, faculty and staff. Tickets are available on CampusGroups for $4 for undergraduate students and $10 for faculty, staff and graduate students. All proceeds from the banquet go to the group’s First-Gen Scholarship Fund.
