The Interfraternity Congress and Panhellenic Council will host a faculty forum Nov. 9, titled “Think Beyond The Classroom: What You Should Know That Classes Won’t Teach You.”
While college courses aim to teach students the knowledge and skills necessary for success, there are many skills and experiences that students cannot get from any college course. During the event, a panel of Case Western Reserve faculty and staff will explore what learning opportunities students should seek outside the classroom and how this will influence their future success.
Deputy Provost Lynn Singer will moderate the event, and panelists will be Laura Papcum, assistant director for Alumni Career Services; Sean McDonnell, head basketball coach; Michael Kenney, senior instructor of chemistry and John Teagle Professorial Fellow; Brad Ricca, English lecturer, Freedman Fellow and SAGES Fellow; and Chris Butler, instructor of math and Theodore M. Focke Professorial Fellow.
The event will be held Friday, Nov. 9, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Rockefeller Building 301. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
