The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics will host a talk featuring Melinda Aldrich, assistant professor in the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Division of Epidemiology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, today (March 2) from noon to 1 p.m. in the School of Medicine building, Room E401.
Aldrich will present “Scientific Advantages of Studies in Admixed Populations.”
Genetic admixture is when interbreeding occurs between individuals from two or more populations that had previously been separated.
The event, which is part of EPBI 502, is open to the university community.
