Find out how to go green in your gift giving this holiday season

Join the Office for Sustainability at the Green Bag Lunch event today (Nov. 24) from noon to 1 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Room 150.

Nicole McGee, from the Upcycle Parts Shop, and Pam Turus, from the Good Gift Holiday Shop, will present on how attendees can go green in their holiday shopping. They will discuss upcycling and giving local and handmade gifts, as well as moving from consumerism during the winter holidays. Additionally, they will have festive upcycling crafts that will be easy and quick to make.

Attendees should bring their own lunch, but pumpkin tarts and blueberry bars will be provided. Coffee, tea and water will also be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own cups. Presentations will run until shortly before 1 p.m., with crafting to continue for another 20 minutes or so.

Registration is available online.
