Financials and Financials Reporting to use familiar login screen starting May 26, other applications to follow

Systems to be unavailable 10 p.m. May 25 to 2 a.m. May 26

Case Western Reserve University is gradually replacing the login screens for Human Capital Management, PeopleSoft Financials, Enterprise Performance Management (and the Student Information System.

Starting May 26, PeopleSoft Financials  and Financials Reporting will be the next ERP applications to start using the new login screen. The new login screen will use the CWRU Single Sign-On portal, which many technology services at Case Western Reserve already use.

Engineers will perform this change from 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, to 2 a.m. Thursday, May 26. During this time, the financials and financials reporting systems will be unavailable for all functions.

The purpose of this change is to make the experience of logging in to these applications more secure and consistent. It creates one authentication checkpoint across these enterprise applications that allows for tighter security monitoring and a more secure single point of entry.

Although the login screen uses the CWRU Single Sign-On page, it will only grant access to that application. For instance, you will have to log in to Financials even if you are already logged in to CWRU Google Mail.

In addition to the new login screen, each application will receive a corresponding logout screen containing the resource links housed on their current login screens today.

The Division of Information Technology Services will distribute additional announcements as the remaining applications prepare to receive this change. Questions regarding the new login screens may be directed to the ITS Service Desk at 216.368.HELP (4357) or help@case.edu.
