To be considered for need-based financial aid, students must submit the FAFSA and CWRU Financial Aid Form no later than March 1. This deadline is earlier than years past because the FAFSA application is now available earlier than ever before.
These documents are required for all need-based financial aid, including grants, loans and work-study. Students who receive a merit scholarship and are not interested in pursuing need-based financial aid for the 2017-18 academic year do not need to complete this process.
Those who do not file a FAFSA and a CWRU Financial Aid form by March 1 may not be eligible for need-based CWRU financial aid for the 2017-18 school year.
Complete the FAFSA at fafsa.gov.
The CWRU FAFSA school code is 003137. Students are encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to complete their FAFSA, which will require calendar year 2015 income data, so, unlike past years, there is no need to estimate income figures.
Complete the CWRU Financial Aid Form via My Financial Aid at case.edu/financialaid/myfinancialaid/.
After submitting these documents, students may be prompted by the Office of University Financial Aid to submit additional information. Any additional documentation requested after filing your FAFSA and CWRU Financial Aid form must be submitted no later than April 1 to be considered for institutional funding.
