Film synopsis
Celebrate “Weird Al” Yankovic’s 62nd birthday with some U62! …UHF, that is the rerun-filled TV backwater of Channels 14 and up that could never compete with the big networks. George Newman is a daydreamer put in charge of Channel 62 after his uncle wins it in a poker game. His oddball programming choices, including a smash hit show by janitor Stanley Spadowski, capture the town’s imagination and spark a rivalry with Channel 8, whose owner wants to bury the competition… or at least turn it into a parking lot! With Weird Al’s brand of comedy, we’ve got it all on UHF!
