Film showing: The Revenant

With noted performances by actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Will Poulter and breathtaking landscapes, The Revenant leaves audience members absorbed in the main character’s struggle to survive the harsh American frontier.

The CWRU Film Society will host showings of the film Saturday, May 1, at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium. 

The showings are open only to current CWRU ID holders.

Tickets are $4 at the door and classic movie concessions are now available for purchase following each screening. Advance tickets can be purchased through CampusGroups.

Synopsis

While exploring uncharted wilderness in 1823, legendary frontiersman Hugh Glass sustains injuries from a brutal bear attack. When his hunting team leaves him for dead, Glass must use his survival skills to find a way back home while avoiding natives. Grief-stricken and fueled by vengeance, Glass treks through the wintry terrain to track down John Fitzgerald, the former confidant who betrayed and abandoned him.
