Film screening: The Tale of The Princess Kaguya

The CWRU Film Society and JapanCase will host screenings of The Tale of The Princess Kaguya (2013) Friday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium.

This film is directed by Isao Takahata and stars Aki Asakura, Kengo Kôra and Nobuko Miyamoto.

Screenings are open to members of the Case Western Reserve University and the publis. Tickets cost $4; pre-register for tickets.

Synopsis 

Found inside a shining stalk of bamboo by an old bamboo cutter and his wife, a tiny girl grows rapidly into an exquisite young lady. The mysterious young princess enthralls all who encounter her, but ultimately she must confront her fate, the punishment for her crime.
