Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to attend the Cleveland premiere of the 2022 Italian film Takeaway Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium. The film’s director, Renzo Carbonera, also will be in attendance for a Q&A following the showing.
This event is free and open to the public.
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures’ Italian program, the CWRU Film Society and the Department of English’s film studies program will host this screening.

Film synopsis
A rising professional race walker turns to substances to improve performance. It comes to a showdown after encountering another athlete whose health was ruined by doping.
