The Radical Student Union will host a showing of the film Strange Victory Thursday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium.
After the viewing, the distributors of the film, archivist Dennis Doros and historian Amy Heller, will speak and hold a Q&A session.
The free event is open to the general public.
Strange Victory was made as a response to the racism, antisemitism and general prejudice that still existed in the U.S. after World War II and the defeat of fascism in Europe.
The film was directed by Leo Hurwitz and produced by the leader of Grove Press, Barney Rosset. It was released in 1948 and is currently distributed by Milestone Films.
