Graduate students are invited to Festival of Lights: Diwali 2018 Saturday, Nov. 10, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in Thwing Center ballroom.
Diwali celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
Satrang, the graduate Indian student association, organized the event with the goal of providing graduate students the opportunity to experience a “traditional” Indian Diwali celebration. It is an occasion for graduate students to reflect, celebrate community and build relationships, as well as to foster friendship, peace and mutual understanding.
The event is free and open to all graduate students.
