Faculty: Work hands-on with learning management systems during two-part event

The Teaching and Learning Technologies team of the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) continues to lead an exploration of Blackboard and other learning management systems for Case Western Reserve University.

The team invites faculty members to attend hands-on demonstrations of two alternate systems: Brightspace by D2L and Canvas by Instructure. Representatives from each platform will highlight key features and walk faculty through practical exercises. Attendees may ask questions directly to experts, and provide feedback after the session. Feedback from course instructors will allow ITS to better understand how easily people can complete everyday tasks in these systems.

To accommodate varying schedules, presentations for both systems will be offered at three different times and in three different locations.

Overview of Brightspace: Tuesday, May 10

  • 10 a.m. in Nord Hall, Room 356
  • 1 p.m. in School of Nursing, Room 340A (Learning Resource Center)
