Research from a diverse range of disciplines will be presented. Topics in the program include: evolutionary morphology, gold nanoparticles, semiconductors, 3-D imaging of small membrane protein complexes, stem cells and more.

Presentations will be given by several Case Western Reserve researchers:

  • Danqi Wang from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering
  • Andreas Engel from the Department of Pharmacology
  • Ina Martin of the Materials for Opto/Electronics Research and Education Center
  • Seth Villarreal of the Department of Pharmacology
  • Paul C. Quayle from the Department of Physics
  • Wayne Jennings from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering
  • Yindong Ge of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering

Posters also will be shown by CWRU researchers:

  • Justin Flatt of the Department of Pharmacology and the Cleveland Center for Membrane & Structural Biology
  • Christopher Francy from the Department of Pharmacology
  • Midori Hitomi, School of Medicine, Electron Microscopy Facility
  • Zhange Feng of the Department of Chemistry
  • Yindong Ge from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering
  • Maryam Zahiri Azar of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering

The conference will be an all-day event. There will be a reception and banquet with an awards ceremony after the day of presentations. The evening banquet event is optional.
