Faculty: Learn how to deal with academic conflicts in upcoming UCITE session

Conflicts are not uncommon in academic circles, but they can be difficult to deal with. In the upcoming UCITE seminar, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences professor Wally Gingerich will discuss “Academic conflicts: What are they, and what can you do about them?” Gingerich, who heads the Faculty Conciliation and Mediation Program, will focus on ways to help faculty members understand the nature of conflict. In addition, he will provide approaches and tools to manage the conflicts on their own as well as resources to help when the task is too big to handle on their own.

The discussion will be held April 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Library Building.

Pizza and sodas will be provided; RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
