More and more instructors are using some form of cooperative learning in their classrooms, from brief discussions with classmates to major project undertakings, to make the sessions more interactive and engaging for students. Wherever one falls on this spectrum, it is important to keep in mind practical guidelines to ensure the experience turns out to be beneficial to the learning process and not a source of aggravation for both student and instructor.
In the June 7 UCITE session, learn the strategies behind “Doing Cooperative Learning Well.” The discussion will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room, located on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Medical Library.
Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session; RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
